Stator conversion 1975 DT175B

Post by EnduroRider1 » Sun Apr 07, 2019 4:19 pm

The 1976 DT175C and the 1975 DT175B have different stators.

The 1976 model has higher output.

The higher output of the 1976 model required a voltage regulator. The 75 model did not have one.

However, the stators are interchangable and either will fit on the other bike.

In this thread, I'm going to show you how to make your own 6v regulator from cheap readily available components
and then how to wire the regulator into your bike so that you can use a 1976 stator if you choose.

This will be an interesting thread to participate in. I have a DT175C with a questionable stator as well as a DT100B that I would like to upgrade with a voltage regulator.

Hello Camp,
As soon as I get some free time I'll update this thread.

What's going on with your stator?
